ScanCam

A critical aspect of many experiments is visual data from cameras. BioServe developed ScanCam to collect this data.

ScanCam is an automated system that moves a camera in three axes (x,y,z). The camera moves to a preset list of points and records HD video clips. It's sensitive sensor and shutter modes provide ideals parameters for producing sharp, low noise images.

The ScanCam system was implemented in several experiments aboard the ISS, including the 2013 Jumping Spider experiment.
