Nicoletta Fala

Nicoletta Fala is a PhD student in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University, where she also received her undergraduate and master degrees, with Minors in Manufacturing Graphics and French. Her research is on General Aviation safety, where she tries to prevent accidents by analyzing and communicating pilot behaviors in flight data. Nicoletta is also a licensed private pilot with an instrument rating, the vice president of a flying club (Purdue Pilots, Inc.), and the Captain of this year's Air Race Classic team, a competition where female pilots race their airplanes across the country. Additionally, she is an ambassador for Graduate Women in the department.
