Careers
Purdue University invites applications for multiple tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor from candidates whose interests and expertise from any area of aerospace engineering that align with the School’s themes of (i) safe, sustainable air transportation; (ii) access to, working in, and exploring space; (iii) maintaining national defense and security; and (iv) enabling new opportunities through aerospace. For this search, we are particularly interested in candidates whose research will support advances in and make fundamental contributions to the first two themes.
Sandia National Laboratories in beautiful Albuquerque, NM is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee to partner with a dedicated team performing modeling and simulation research for the development of thermal protection systems (TPS) for hypersonic reentry vehicles.
The successful candidate will develop mesoscale and macroscale models that couple multiple physics across length scales to predict the performance and degradation of composite heat shield materials in hypersonic flight environments.
