Iain Boyd was interviewed by ScienceNews for a long-form article on strange lights in the night sky and efforts to use science to determine fact from fiction.

PhD student Anant Telikicherla (Advisor: Bob Marshall) won 1st place in the SmallSat student paper competition this month in Logan, Utah. His paper, entitled "Miniaturized scintillation based detector for characterizing energetic electron precipitation", was based on his MS thesis research at the University of Alberta.
