CU Science Discovery Science Communication and Outreach Seminar

CU Science Discovery is recruiting participants in STEM fields, including CU faculty, graduate students, post-docs, and other research scientists, to participate in our 2025 CU Science Ambassadors program. This course strives to prepare scientists and engineers to share their research with diverse public audiences.

The course will be held on six Thursday mornings during the semester at RL1 on East campus from 10:00AM to Noon: 8/28; 9/11; 9/25; 10/9; 10/16; and 10/30.

Scientists will participate in fun and engaging training workshops, read primary literature in science communication, get lots of practice communicating their science, and design an outreach product based on their research. Participants will also attend an outreach event in early December where they can put their experience in course into practice and share their research with high school students.
