Welcome to CU Science Discovery,
a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education outreach program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Science Discovery manages programs that engage K-12 students and teachers in STEM and connect public audiences with the STEM research happening at CU Boulder. Science Discovery programs utilize CU scientific expertise, equipment, resources and faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in order to provide participants with unique, experiential STEM learning experiences.
CU Science Discovery's FREE Family STEAMfest event is taking place on Saturday, March 16 from 10am-2pm! Families are invited to get hands-on with all things science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). We're sparking curiosity and engagement with a selection of table-top activities designed for the whole family.
Whether you're looking to schedule dinner out, coffee with a friend, or just a little quiet time at home without the kids, Science Discovery has you covered! Bring the kids to our Parent's Night Out/STEM PJ Party – a science activity and movie pajama party for grades 2-5: Friday, March 15 from 5:15-8pm. Feature presentation: Zootopia(Rated PG).
Science Discovery is currently accepting applications for undergraduate Teaching Assistants to work alongside instructors in the classroom and provide overall support to K-12 summer camps and high school classes. Science Discovery is now accepting applications for summer 2024 instructors. Summer instructors teach one or more week-long programs throughout the summer season, depending on their interests and availability. Programs have already been developed and tested by Science Discovery. If you (or anyone you know) may be interested in an opportunity to share your love of STEM education in an enriching environment, apply today!
This year commemorates the 10th year of Science Discovery's STEM Research Experience! This 6-week program runs from June 7-July 26 on the CU Boulder and CU Anschutz campuses. Applications will be accepted until the application link is removed.
Online registration is going on now for 2024 summer camp and high school class schedules for the CU Boulder and CU Anschutz Medical Campuses.
