Christine Fanchiang, AES PhD student (advisor: David Klaus), was awarded a Harriet G. Jenkins Graduate Fellowship from NASA's Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP), which is meant to increase diversity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines. The Jenkins fellowship provides as much as $45k annually for as many as three years, and includes tuition offset, student stipend, and a research experience at a NASA center.  Congratulations, Christine!

Out of 30 graduate students selected nation-wide for the Jenkins fellowship, CU graduate student Jessica Kenigson from ATOC also received a Jenkins fellowship. It is evident that CU students continue to dominate national awards.  For the full list, seehttp://www.nasa.gov/education/MUREP_2013_Awardees/#.UqCz7I2E6oV
