Job Description/Summary

Undergraduate research assistants will work on portions of two online mapping projects.

Job Duties and Qualifications

The Research Assistant is responsible for developing online maps of Indigenous Placenames in Colorado and for the Chicano Latino Oral History Project during the entire semester. Duties include database development and management, design of online maps, regular meetings with the faculty supervisor, and presentations.

Qualifications:

Undergraduates should have completed GEOG 3053, and have demonstrated experience with online mapping platforms including Mapbox and ArcGIS online. Experience with Leaflet, OpenLayers, and similar web mapping tools is welcome.  Estimated number of weekly hours is 3 to 4.

Number of positions available:

Will vary with funding.
