Job Description/Summary:
Undergraduate Learning Assistants provide in-class, hands-on support in the Geography courses, including GEOG 4022: Climate Action Planning.
Job Duties and Qualifications:
The Learning Assistant (LA) is responsible for assisting the instructor during the entire semester in answering student questions during class meetings. The LA duties also include meeting with the instructor at regular intervals (weekly or as necessary) throughout the semester to discuss weekly exercises and problems that may arise. The LA must be prepared for each class meeting by reviewing the lecture material. The LA will be directed by the instructor regarding procedures and strategies in answering student questions.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate Students with prior completion of the course assisting in. Estimated number of hours a week: 3 to 4 hours per week.

Varies per semester depending on course enrollment

Pay rate or range: $18.00 /hr
NOTE: In lieu of monetary compensation, students may choose to perform the work for 2-3 upper division GEOG Independent Study credits (GEOG3840)
