Xi was awarded a 2016-2017 Fulbright U.S. Student Research Award. Xi will use the award to support her dissertation research in China where she will study how planning for China’s electricity sector affects the country’s ability to integrate large-scale renewable energy. The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program of the United States. Xi will represent the country as a cultural ambassador while overseas, helping to enhance mutual understanding between Americans and Chinese.
