The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Ian will use this grant to support his dissertation research on state territorialization, tourism, and Cross-strait relations. He will be affiliated with the Institute of Sociology at Academia Sinica, Taiwan's major academic research institute.
