Meredith Gartner has been awarded a Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Award for 2010-2011 from the Geography and Spatial Sciences Program of the National Science Foundation. Meredith is conducting research in the ponderosa pine zone of the Colorado Front Range on how landscape variability and fire history affect the spread and severity of mountain pine beetle activity.
