April 28New students registration opens (individuals will have their own enrollment windows which you can find in BuffPortal)
TBDFall 2025 last day to submit a petition for Colorado residency for tuition purposes
May 19Initial Email Communication from Michelle Cadena, Assistant Director of Graduate Student Success
August 16-17CU Boulder International Student Orientation (not required) 
August 18CU Boulder Graduate Student Orientation 
August 19 ENVS Graduate Student Orientation
August 21 First day of classes
August 25-29Welcome Week

The Department of Environmental Studies Graduate Peer Mentorship Program connects new students with experienced peers to support their academic and professional journey.
