Bio
I’m a PhD student working at the intersection between research, the public, and land management communities. My mixed methods, multi-disciplinary research focuses on environmental values, measurement, and understanding the role of social factors in decision-making around changing landscapes. I was born and raised in northern Colorado – my love for the area inspires my work on our local and regional socio-ecological systems. Before joining ENVS, I worked for Earth Lab and the North Central Climate Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC) as a program and research assistant. My work with the CASC has continued through their summer Rapid Climate Assessment Program (RCAP).
Research Interests
- Environmental values, values measurement, and public participation in land management decision-making (specifically in changing or novel landscapes)
- Climate adaptation in the North Central US – sagebrush and grassland systems
- Outdoor recreation management and improving accessibility
- Science communication and conflict management
