My career path: I switched careers after entering the Telecom master program at CU and landed a network systems planning position with U S WEST. After spending nine years with the incumbent telco I jumped into the startup world by joining a couple of ISP’s. Since then I’ve tried many different things including sports media, child safety franchise, 9-1-1 services, interactive tours, marketing consulting and technical writing. Currently I’m working on a small business training program and anti-social media business idea.
My interest in being a Regional Network Ambassador: I’m involved in the start-up scene in San Diego and see firsthand the growing number of engineering opportunities. Having a good network is key to connecting employers with job seekers and I would like to help fellow Buffs find opportunities.
My interests: Old school photography (with a DSLR camera), hiking, jogging in local 5k’s, traveling to places I haven’t been, watching sports, and playing with new tech gadgets
