Greg Rieker

Greg Rieker is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering, and principle investigator of the Precision Laser Diagnostics Laboratory. Rieker earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He earned MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, where he focused on laser-based sensing in combustion environments. He co-founded a company that developed tabletop particle accelerators. He then spent one year as an NRC research associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) before joining the faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2013.
