The College of Engineering and Applied Science’s BOLD Center offers a residential experience for student scholars who share values like engaging with cultures, creating belonging and developing leadership skills.

Prior to the start of the fall semester, all BOLD Scholars will participate in an orientation experience that will help them build community and adapt to life on campus. Scholars will access a wide variety of BOLD resources designed to support them in their academic, professional and personal journeys, including advising, tutoring, events and student societies.

The BOLD pre-arrival program will allow students to:

  • Move in to their residence hall a full week before classes begin (Aug. 20, for fall 2023)
  • Become familiar with their residence hall and the broader Engineering Connections community
  • Get to know other engineering students
  • Explore campus and prepare for the first week of classes
  • Have fun!

BOLD Scholars, which include any student receiving a BOLD scholarship and those participating in GoldShirt, will be notified directly about this opportunity — there is no need to apply or opt-in.

If you have any questions, please contact GoldShirt Program Manager Desi Beardmore or BOLD Leadership and Scholarship Manager Colby Juarez.
