Ben Weihrauch, Ed.D., GCDF

Dr. Ben Weihrauch joined CU Engineering in 2019 as Senior Director of Student Professional Development. Ben leads the Engineering Career Hub, focused on preparing CU Engineering students to be professionally ready for meaningful, impactful careers. Ben is a scholar-practitioner in higher education with 25 years experience across the student lifecycle, including admissions and advising, career development, employer relations and workforce development, and program management.

Before CU Engineering, Ben served in roles at CU Anschutz Medical Campus, Community College of Denver, Michigan State University, and Minnesota State Mankato. He also worked in industry for a national edtech firm. Ben's research interests include first-generation student success, persistence and graduation outcomes, engineering education, career development and experiential learning, and inclusive practice.  

Ben earned his Doctorate of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity - Higher Education concentration from the University of Colorado Denver, a M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in History from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
