Speakers set for Research Support Office's annual Fall Seminar Series

The Research Support Office is hosting a series of webinars this fall from 1:30-3 p.m. on a variety of dates via Zoom. Registration is required in advance and an Outlook invitation will be sent with login information. Session dates and details include:

  • Oct. 6:  This webinar will discuss research opportunities and campus support for faculty engagements with the National Institute of Health and industry partners from the Research & Inovation Office. First, Jim Mazzouccolo will discuss NIH grant guidelines and proposal approaches. Then Jacob Seigel will discuss the SBIR/STTR programs for joint research with industry and the role of the Center for Translational Research on CU Boulder's campus. Faculty and post-docs are welcome to attend.
     
  • Oct. 13: This webinar will discuss several summer faculty internship and research opportunities with the Department of Defense including the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Air Force Academy, and the Navy Research Lab. Professor Tim White (a former AFRL scientist) and will discuss his research experiences and the culture at AFRL. Then Associate Dean for Research Massimo Ruzzene will discuss new partnership opportunities between the Air Force Academy and CU Boulder faculty. All faculty with interest in DoD collaborations and engagements should attend.
     
  • Nov. 3: Jaret Riddick, director of Strategic Initiatives at U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), will discuss strategy across the corporate DoD laboratory enterprise in the areas of persistent modernization, science and technology convergence, and DE&I.
