The OGCAD SMU project is a cost-effective multiplexed SMU that combines 4-quadrant voltage and current sourcing with precise measurement capabilities. Designed for low current and moderate voltage, it automates the test cycle of 16 DUTs via multiplexing, saving time for test engineers. Offering a 95% price reduction, this SMU integrates seamlessly with ~10,000 of Teradyne’s test systems. This instrument is optimized for 4-wire measurements to eliminate the measurement equipment artifacts, enabling for 5% accurate measurements even at low-resistance. A custom API, GUI, and web server hosted on the ESP32 allows wireless control, enabling engineers to initiate tests and view I-V characteristic results remotely. By simply inserting the daughter card into the DUT's Personality Board, the system automates channel switching for streamlined operations. This innovative solution enhances efficiency and reduces costs, making it an essential tool for Teradyne’s testing facilities.
