OpenHEG is an open-source neural monitoring kit that uses Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy to measure the Hemodynamic Response within the brain of the user. This measurement directly correlates to brain activity, which we can use to create neurofeedback loops for therapeutic treatments. The kit is designed to be low-cost and accessible for high school and undergraduate students to build their first foray into neuroscience.
