Welcome, and congratulations on your acceptance to the College of Arts & Sciences at CU Boulder! Arts & Sciences Academic Advising and Coaching (A&S AAC) is an appropriate point of contact for current, degree-seeking undergraduate students at CU Boulder who want to pursue a major or minor in the College of Arts & Sciences. If you are an admitted student, we are excited to start working with you once you have officially confirmed your enrollment and matriculated at CU Boulder. In the meantime, there are more appropriate points of contact for you. We have created this page to help guide you there!

I want to change my major within Arts & Sciences, or I want to change colleges/schools within CU Boulder. How can I do that?

Admitted students wishing to change majors must do so through the Office of Admissions. You can log into your application status page, and there you should see an option to submit a major change request form. Please complete that form to be considered. Major changes are not guaranteed, and there are typically additional steps needed when requesting to change from one college or school into another. If you already changed your major and are now requesting a second major change, please contact your admissions counselor.

Can I schedule an appointment with an Arts & Sciences Academic Advisor?

We love to see that you are eager to engage with us! However, we are not able to offer academic advising appointments to newly admitted students. Students will be assigned to an A&S Academic Advisor and can access advising appointments after they have confirmed their intent to enroll and after they have officially matriculated (i.e. they transition from being an admitted student to being an incoming student). If you have general questions in the meantime, we are more than happy to help answer them at asadvising@colorado.edu.

If you have more in-depth questions about the College of Arts & Sciences that you want to discuss with someone, you can schedule an appointment with Arts & Sciences Recruitment (contact thecollege@colorado.edu if the appointment calendar appears to be blank).

If you are a newly admitted transfer student, you can schedule an advising appointment with Pre-Transfer Advising.
