Course: “Practicum: Professional Art Practices” (offered spring semester)

Students learn strategies to forge sustainable, productive, fulfilling careers in the arts. Through a series of presentations by art professionals in the CU Art and Art History Department, readings, assignments, and field trips, students will learn to define, promote, support, and find the most effective systems to have a successful life as an artist. In addition to the classroom learning, students will engage with three art professionals who will focus on the trajectory and evolution of their art practice, work/life balance, and professional development.
