Ricardo Costante Amores

Dr. Constante-Amores’ research aims to provide a fundamental understanding of turbulence and multiphase flows through numerical simulations and theory. He completed his Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics at Imperial College London in Dic 2020. His research quality is demonstrated by an impressive collection of accolades and awards, such as the ERCOFTAC da Vinci Medal (2021), the Milton van Award from the American Physical Society (Division of Fluid Dynamics), the Osborne Reynolds Prize, and the Dudley Newitt Prize. Ricardo also holds a BEng and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid and Imperial College London, respectively. After earning his Ph.D., he joined the Mathematical Institute and Engineering Science Department at the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Engineering at University Wisconsin-Madison.
