Congratulations to PhD student Vicki Hurd (Advisor: Allie Hayman)! Her journal paper titled “Artificial Intelligence Assistance in Point-of-Care Ultrasound Skill Retention for Novice Users in Space Medicine Scenarios” won the “Best Research Award” in Medical Education and Training from the Academy of Emergency Ultrasound.

The WIA Foundation is pleased to provide four merit-based scholarships of $5,000 each to women interested in a career in the aerospace field to pursue higher education degrees in engineering, math or science. The awards will be given to rising juniors or seniors in college, to be applied during the 2025 - 2026 academic year

CSU will be hosting the Spectrum Sizzle 2025, a free undergraduate student workshop on RF Spectrum usage and policy sponsored by NSF.  The workshop will provide free room and board for 3 days on the CSU campus from June 9-12.  Topics include:

• Spectrum Policy, Proceedings, and Rule-making
• Passive Systems, Spectrum Analysis, and Frequency Allocations
• Communication Systems, Modulation, and Coexistence
• Radar Systems
• Wireless Circuits

A handful of CU Boulder have students registered already, but there is still space for a few more.

Registration is through Baylor University, but the event is at CSU.

This free, 10-week workshop series is designed for CU Boulder graduate students interested in developing reflective, justice-oriented teaching practices. The program is open to up to 20 graduate instructors and focuses on dialogic pedagogy, somatic reflection, and intersectional equity practices. Spots are limited and fill quickly, so early application is encouraged.
