The Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder is welcoming three new faculty members. Meet the team and see why we're so excited about these talented new hires:
Assistant Professor Hisham Ali
Hisham Ali is joining the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences as a new assistant professor in January 2022. He is a currently a member of technical staff at The Aerospace Corporation in the Astrodynamics Department, Colorado Springs, where he serves as a Mission Design and Astrodynamics Analyst.
Instructor Alexandra Le Moine
Alexandra Le Moine is joining the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences as a new instructor. She has a dual BS in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematical Sciences from the Florida Institute of Technology along with a MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin.
Instructor Melvin Rafi
Melvin Rafi is a new instructor in the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences. He was most recently a postdoctoral research fellow at the General Aviation Flight Lab at Wichita State University and also served as an adjunct lecturer in their Department of Aerospace Engineering, where he taught courses in Engineering Mechanics.
