Public private partnerships, or PPPs, have become an accepted form for government to obtain aerospace research, technology development and aerospace program execution. NASA, the DoD, other U.S. government agencies as well as state governments are increasingly using variations of this approach in many aspects of their operations. PPPs have become an integral and foundational part of government’s future strategic planning, and, as a result, will continue to influence aerospace engineering for the foreseeable future.
