Wired Magazine is exploring a national competition challenging scientists and engineers at the University of Colorado Boulder and around the country to innovate on how we map Earth's constantly shifting magnetic field—and make navigation safer and more accurate.

A team led by Assistant Professor Bob Marshall in the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences is a finalist in the MagQuest competition, which is being led by National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
