From the steel skeleton of what will become the University of Colorado's new aerospace engineering building, what appears to be the front end of a spaceship is visible from the street.

Construction on the 175,000-square-foot project at CU's East Campus on Discovery Drive is underway, with the main building slated to be completed in April and the additional north wing of the building slated to be completed in July 2019. The project broke ground in October 2017.

As for the spaceship visible on the building's third floor, it's a mockup of the cockpit of the Dream Chaser craft that Sierra Nevada Corp.'s Louisville-based Space Systems division ` Commercial Crew Transportation Capability contracts.
