I earned my PhD at Duke University in 2020 and I specialize in normative and applied ethics. My dissertation, completed under the supervision of the incomparable Jennie Hawkins, defends the Epicurean claim that death is not bad for the one who dies. I have also published work on the ethics of abortion and the wrongness of killing.

Having earned my BA in philosophy at CU Boulder, I was fortunate to return to the department as an instructor in 2020. Prior to that, I taught philosophy at Duke’s Trinity College of Arts and Sciences, where I won several teaching awards.
