Kyle York

Hi, I'm a Ph.D. student in philosophy. I received my B.A. from the University of Colorado at Denver, my M.A. in philosophy from the University of Tartu in Estonia, and also spent some time at Lingnan University in Hong Kong.

My area of focus is applied ethics, especially animal ethics and the ethics of love. But I’m interested in many areas of philosophy, including normative ethics, philosophy of psychology and psychiatry, and the meaning(fulness) of life.

My writing has appeared in The Journal of Value Inquiry, the Journal of Social Philosophy, Philosophy Now, and elsewhere. In my free time, I like to go on walks, play video games, watch movies, and make music.
