Professor Graham Oddie has been invited by the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm to be the 2015 Distinguished Visiting Professor during the Fall. The Institute for Futures Studies (http://www.iffs.se/en/about-the-institute/) is an advanced institute for social science research focusing on issues deemed important for the future.

The Institute's researchers come from many different disciplines such as sociology, mathematics, economics, and philosophy. The current research program "Which future? Challenges and choices for the 21st Century" comprises five themes that overlap: "Our responsibility towards future generations", "Democracy in the 21st Century", "New Technologies and the future of humanity", "Discrimination, sexism and racism" and "Equality". During his month in Stockholm Oddie will be doing research on the nature on well-being, value and value aggregation.
