Federal government shutdown & impact to student aid
Updated Oct. 1, 2025 at 8:40 a.m. Mountain Time
The university is aware of the recent government shutdown and understands that it may raise questions about student financial aid. According to the Department of Education, federal aid programs, including Pell Grants, Direct Loans and work-study, aren’t affected by the shutdown. Students and families can continue to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as usual. We’ll continue to monitor any potential impacts. For the latest information, please visit the Federal Funding Updates webpage.
