Come join us at the BOLD Center during the first few days of classes to connect with your peers and meet new people. We'd love to see you!

Decorate Your Space: Mon., Aug. 26 from 1-3pm

• Stop by BOLD to make some decorations for your space. We will have coloring sheets, materials to make a collage, hot glue, canvases, and some other crafting supplies for you to use. Pop in and make something that brings you joy!

The Engineer’s Enigma: Tues., Aug. 27 from 5pm

• Come to BOLD and solve the mystery of The Engineers Enigma: Puzzle Quest. Follow clues and race around the Engineering Center to find the secrets that it hides. Upon completion of the Puzzle Quest, you may or may not, find some hidden treasure...

6 Degrees of Connection: Thurs., Aug. 29 from 3pm

• Have you ever wondered just how connected people are to each other? Come connect with your peers, meet new people, grab some food, and find out how one BOLD staff member is connected to Taylor Swift and Fergie!

Vision Boards: Tues., Sept. 3 from 1pm

• Join BOLD for an afternoon of exploring your vision for your future and creating a visual representation of your goals in a “vision board”. Learn how vision boards can be helpful in achieving your goals, get some resources to help achieve your goals, and have some fun getting to know people while you make them

CU Trivia: Wed, Sept. 4 from 5pm

• Come to BOLD for CU trivia night and test your CU knowledge! Come meet new people, grab some snacks, and maybe win a prize. Enjoy wracking your brain to find the answers to all our CU related questions!

BOLD will no longer be offering tutoring services to all CEAS students. Instead, Academic Services of BOLD will prioritize tutoring services to BOLD scholarship students, student society members and partnership-affiliated scholarship students.

BOLD scholars and society members can schedule an appointment with a BOLD tutor through Canvas scholarship pages. For in-person appointments, you will connect with a tutor in the Academic Services Learning Lab (ECCE 122B) or the Aerospace Tutoring Room (AERO 210).

The first day of free scholar tutoring is Tuesday, September 3rd!

The BOLD Center’s flex lounge (BOLD-ECCE-122B) will now be known and branded as the Academic Services Learning Lab. This will be the academic hub for BOLD’s academic services and will feature new academic support features such as applied mathematics supplemental instruction, an engineering textbook library, and a mini lecture designed space. The learning lab will also be home to our main campus tutoring. Stop by and visit us in ECCE 122B!

Join us in welcoming Matt Reichenbach, our new BOLD Faculty Fellow. Matt will be supporting our BOLD academic operations by providing supplemental instruction hours and drop-in office hours for the APPM calculus sequence, including differential equations and MATLAB. BOLD scholarship students will have the opportunity to connect with Matt by participating in exam prep sessions and visiting his office hours within the BOLD Academic Services Learning Lab.

The position is in-person at the BOLD Center Front Desk.

Join us for our GoldShirt exclusive Community Night. We will have some board games set up. Please feel free to drop in and play a game with the GoldShirt mentors or just hangout.

When: Wed., Sept. 4th from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Where: Chevron Commons in BOLD

For this study, participants will be trained and evaluated on a Mars rover driving scenario in a VR headset while wearing neuroimaging equipment on their head to gather data. This study will take part in 2 sessions on 2 consecutive days, with the first session taking up to 3 hours and the second session taking 2 hours. This study is paid on an hourly basis.

The Colorado Water Fellows Program advances the next generation of water leaders by training and connecting undergraduate students to careers and opportunities in the water field. Western Water Assessment (WWA) is excited to host the Colorado Water Fellows Program for the first time at CU Boulder. 

All CU Boulder undergraduate students are welcome to apply. We especially encourage students from communities who have been historically excluded from STEM fields to apply, including: students with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, students who identify as LGBTQ+, students who identify as female, students from marginalized racial and ethnic groups, first-generation scholars, and low-income students.
