In this role, you will support our Data Analytics, Assessment and Accreditation Office in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. You will help with data cleaning, data summaries, and other assessment projects. Prior programming experience may help but is not required. Experience in Excel is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Reliable, self-directed and well-organized
  • Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, charts and other visualizations)
  • Capable of handling sensitive data with discretion
  • Interest and willingness to learn additional analytics software (Tableau, Qualtrics, etc.)

Initial Job Responsibilities (training will be provided):  

  • Data cleaning and preparation for analysis (using Excel to begin and eventually other tools such as Tableau Prep or R)
  • Assistance with data summaries
  • Depending on experience, the student assistant may be able to help with Tableau dashboard updates.
  • Assistance with other projects as needed for Analytics and Assessment team and Associate Dean of Education as well as other members of the Deans’ office staff.
