ASPIRE (Achieving Success, Persistence, Interest and Retention in Engineering) is a summer program run by the BOLD (Broadening Opportunity through Leadership and Diversity) Center in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder. This summer bridge is designed for incoming first-year engineering and pre-engineering students who are underrepresented in STEM fields; these students may be first-generation, from underrepresented minority communities, low-income families or even from rural communities. ASPIRE is a free, week-long, in-residence program on the CU Boulder campus. Participants must apply to be accepted and upon completion will have:

  • Relationships with other first-year students in engineering
  • New abilities developed in academic and engineering-skill workshops that prepare them for first-year coursework
  • Connections to the BOLD Center and the resources and opportunities we provide

The 2019 ASPIRE application is closed. Please check back spring 2020 for next year’s program!
