The College of Engineering and Applied Science began a new tradition in 2018 with creation of the CU Engineering Homecoming Tailgate. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this tradition was suspended for 2020, but returned during the 2021 football season.

The date for the 2023 Homecoming Tailgate has not yet been set. The tailgate will begin 2.5 hours prior to kickoff and take place outside of the Engineering Center. We hope to see you for this fun annual gathering!

The 2022 event provided an opportunity for alumni, families, and friends of the college to enjoy food, drinks, lawn games, and live music from the band Old's Cool Rock outside the Engineering Center. We would like to thank our alumni-owned businesses for their generous donations to the 2022 Homecoming Tailgate: Bootstrap Brewing Company (Steve Kaczeus, MechEngr'82), FlyteCo Brewing (Eric Serani, MAeroEngr'11 & Jason Slingsby, ChemEngr'11), Ratio Beerworks (Jason zumBrunnen, ChemEngr'97),  La Randonnée Wines (Kevin Green, ChemEngr'96) and Stem Ciders (Phil Kao, MMechEngr'08, PhD'10).
