#ILookLikeAnEngineer

Why did you choose engineering at CU Boulder?

The first answer that comes to mind is location. We have the flatirons right outside of our door stop and it just makes coming to campus every morning that much more exciting.

What does the #ILookLikeAnEngineer hashtag mean to you?

It promotes diversity and shows that there is no stereotypical engineer. It encourages anyone who is thinking about becoming an engineer to pursue their dreams.

What do you enjoy most about engineering?

After sitting at a desk for hours trying to get a project to work or trying to understand a concept you get that "aha!" moment and everything just clicks. It is the best feeling in the world and makes me want to keep challenging myself to have more of those moments.

What is your favorite engineering experience?

My favorite experience so far has been taking the First-Year Engineering Projects course. We spent all semester building our project and when we got to show off our creation to others during demo day it was unforgettable. You get such feeling of accomplishment and it makes you feel like an engineer.

What are your career goals?

After graduation I want to work for BP or Exxon and work on their wind farms to enhance their performance, reliablity and safety.
