First-Year Students

Congratulations on becoming a CU Boulder Engineering student! 

Once you have confirmed your intention to enroll at CU Boulder with the Admissions Office, you should:

• Apply for Housing    
• Complete steps on the New Student and Family Programs Office website for new students
• Learn about student computer ownership and computer recommendations 
• During your course registration window, you’ll complete the course registration process for your first set of classes at CU Boulder. Typically you’ll have been pre-registered in one or more classes and then you’ll complete the registration process online yourself from home. You will learn more about this in the Online Experience and from your academic advisor in June. 

As a first-year student, your biggest challenge will be navigating the transition from high school to the collegiate environment. Faculty, staff, and fellow students are here to help you! Familiarize yourself with some recommended resources for academic success – the sooner you take advantage of all these resources the better!
