A breakthrough in optical rectennas by Garret Moddel, with students Amina Belkadi and Ayendra Weerakkody, was recently featured in CU Boulder Today. The story led to coverage in Cosmos Magazine and Engineering &Technology.
Three ECEE faculty members — Xudong Chen, Shu-Wei Huang and Marco Nicotra — have won NSF CAREER Awards for 2021. They join nine other faculty members in the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Xudong Chen has also been selected to receive the 2021 Donald P. Eckman Award from the American Automatic Control Council. The award "recognizes an outstanding young engineer in the field of automatic control."
Lucy Pao has been elected to the Austrian Academy of Sciences! She was one of three international members named in the mathematics and science class.
