Mona El Helbawy
- Associate Director, Applied Computer Science Program
Dr. Mona El Helbawy received her master’s degree from the computer science department and Ph.D. degree in Computational Electromagnetics from the electrical and computer engineering department at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Prior to joining the CS Department, she served as the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Education with the Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE) department at CU Boulder.
Dr. El Helbawy is a senior member of IEEE, serves as the Vice Chair of the IEEE Denver Section, the 2024 ASEE RMS and 2025 ASEE RMS Chair, and as an associate editor-in-chief for the Applied Computational Electromagentics Society (ACES) Journal.
