This toy is a wand with an accelerometer and a wireless transmitter to another electronic module, embedded in a block of clear plastic with an array of smart LEDs. When the wand is moved in a specific pattern, the LEDs respond. It looks like magic, but it really demonstrates how an accelerometer sensor can detect the wand motion and decode and transmit this information to another microcontroller that responds by controlling LED colors and patterns.
