The founder of SparkFun Electronics, Nathan Seidle, tasked our team with creating a fully developed air quality monitoring system to be sold at SparkFun. In response to this task, our team developed The Home Air. Our device has a total of 4 sensors that are capable of measuring 9 different air quality metrics: Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Temperature, Humidity, AQI, Particulate Matter 2.5, Nitrous Oxides, Volatile Organic Compounds, and Methane. To ensure this product is accessible for everyone we created a mobile app that can be connected, via Bluetooth, to any of our devices. This mobile app has a variety of features such as graphical data over the past 24 hrs, displaying current and average values of all measurements, and many more! Our product also has an easy-to-read E-Paper display on the front of our device for quick, fast references without needing the app. We would like to thank our sponsor and mentor Nathan Seidle as well as Professor Eric Bogatin and the Capstone staff!
