Gonzalo Constante Flores

Gonzalo Constante is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on developing theory, algorithms, and software for large-scale optimization and machine learning, with applications in power and energy systems, critical infrastructure, and electricity markets. Before joining CU Boulder, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. (2022) and M.S. (2018) degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University, and a B.E. (2014) in Power Engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Ecuador. He has received several honors, including a Fulbright Scholarship (U.S. Department of State), a Presidential Fellowship (The Ohio State University), and recognition as a finalist for the 2024 IEEE PES Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award.
