Cecilia Curiel
- Undergraduate Advisor
I began as an academic advisor with the Electrical, Computing, and Energy Engineering program in May 2025, joining an a dedicated team of advisors committed to each students success. As the first-year advisor, I have the privilege of meeting students at the very start of their academic careers and am continually inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication they bring from the outset. As an advisor, I strive to approach each conversation with my students from a point of curiosity, listening closely to their interests, goals, and personal circumstances. My goal is always to work with them, as they navigate their degrees and help them find their own paths to success here at CU.
I am originally from Oregon, where I grew up exploring its forests and coastlines and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. After completing my B.A in English Literature, I moved to China, where I taught at universities and international schools for four years before returning to the U.S. to earn my M.A in English and Environmental Studies at the University of Wyoming. In my free time, I love a good book, a long trail, trying new foods, and exploring different countries, cultures, and continents.
