It does take planning. But learn to plan efficiently and you’ll save time (and panic less) when you need to make changes.

Milestones

In your first year, explore majors and interests broadly. If you meet with your advisor, you can actually fit it all in.

Explore different fields of study in your classes and by attending events or lectures from experts.

If you decide on a major, map a 4-year plan and bring it to an advisor.

Ask your advisor if there are ways to incorporate your other interests into the plan you create.

Create a class list of possible courses to take for the following semester.

Connect with career services to reflect on your strengths.
