It’s October. The time of year when the leaves fully change, snow may begin to fall, the sun starts to set earlier, and you may begin to question whether you really belong on campus. Let me assure you that, you are not alone in feeling this way and yes, you most certainly belong.
Football, parade, pep rally highlight Homecoming 2016
Highlights of CU Boulder's 102nd Homecoming include the football team and marching band “stampeding” along Pearl Street as part of the Homecoming Parade and Football Pep Rally Friday evening. Other traditions include the Alumni Awards Ceremony Thursday and, of course, this year’s Homecoming football game vs. Arizona State University on Saturday.

This week's homecoming events include a concert, the Pearl Street Stampede, official homecoming tailgate and the CU vs. Arizona State football game.

Last Friday, Vice Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education Mary Kraus announced that Shelly Bacon is moving into a new role as Assistant Vice Provost for Advising and Academic Services. Diversity and Inclusion Summit: Building an Equitable Model Contest
The 22nd annual Diversity and Inclusion Summit, "Building the Roadmap: I am Because We Are," will be held on campus Nov. 8-9. This year, the summit is hosting a "Building an Equitable Model Contest" open to CU Boulder students. The contest includes two $500 prizes.
Library survey helps improve services
You Asked. We Listened. The University Libraries would like to thank the hundreds of students and faculty who filled out our recent user survey. We’d like to share what we learned. We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.
Honors Program Distinguished Lecture Series
How do modern women in developing countries experience sexuality and love? Speaking from a unique outsider-insider perspective, Sanyu A. Mojola will show how the entanglement of love, money, and the transformation of girls into "consuming women" lies at the heart of women’s coming-of-age and health crises. Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
