Numerous campus resources are available for academic advice, mental health support and general assistance, all aimed at helping you thrive and stay connected.

Academic Support

Academic resources at CU Boulder provide Buffs with tutoring, guidance and personalized assistance to help them succeed in their studies. 

   Tutoring 
There are many resources for tutoring and other academic support on campus, with options for all students and majors.The Academic Success & Achievement Program (ASAP) also provides tutoring for all first-year students and students living on campus. 

  Office hours 
Faculty members have scheduled office hours during the semester to meet with students. Office hours allow you to interact with your professor one-on-one, ask questions and get clarification about course information.

  Honor Code 
The mission of the Honor Code is to secure an environment where academic integrity can flourish. The Honor Code allows students to have responsibility for and the ability to attain appropriate recognition for academic and personal achievements. 

  Student Outreach, Advocacy & Support 
Student Outreach, Advocacy & Support is available to provide individualized assistance to CU Boulder students. Case managers connect students with campus partners, community resources and support systems, while also building a trusting relationship and coaching them toward self-advocacy. 

  Disability Services 
Disability Services at CU Boulder is dedicated to ensuring that all students have equal access to academic opportunities and campus life. The office works with students to provide accommodations, resources and support tailored to individual needs, empowering Buffs to fully participate and succeed throughout their college experience.   

Finances and Basic Needs Support

CU Boulder offers financial assistance and basic needs resources designed to help students navigate challenges related to housing, food security and more. 

The Basic Needs Center (BNC) is a campus care collective connecting students to essential resources, including food and housing resources on campus and in the community.  

BNC housing services include high-need housing assistance, emergency housing placement, short-term case management and referrals to assistance for long-term housing. 

The Buff Pantry is an on-campus food pantry to support students experiencing food insecurity. Clients can visit the pantry once per week to receive food and personal care items. 

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps qualifying people purchase the food they need. Learn more about eligibility requirements and how to apply. 

Working on campus allows you to earn a paycheck, develop professional skills, meet new people and build your network.

Conflict Support

Students may encounter a variety of conflicts during their academic journey, and CU Boulder provides dedicated resources to help navigate and resolve these challenges constructively. 

If you're ever concerned about a friend or roommate, reach out to Student Outreach, Advocacy & Support or Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution for guidance.    

The Conflict Resolution program can help you navigate disagreements between roommates, significant others, professors, classmates or others. They also offer free workshops, mediation and coaching sessions to help you improve your conflict management and resolution skills.  

Buffs living on campus can reach out to their resident advisors (RA) for conflict support. RAs are a great resource to help mediate conversations and find common ground. 

Peer wellness coaches listen and work one-on-one with students to set wellness goals and connect to the resources to achieve their goals. Peer wellness coaches are familiar with most of the issues college students face every day, including relationships, conflict, stress and more. 

Community Support

The Center is a welcoming space at CU Boulder where all students can come together to learn, share experiences and celebrate different cultures through events and support programs. 

The Office of the Dean of Students is dedicated to supporting and advocating for all students. Dean of Students staff connect Buffs with essential resources to ensure their ongoing success and partner with them to enhance their overall learning experience.   

This office helps students handle legal issues by offering affordable consultations and representation on campus. Their experienced lawyers support students through challenges like landlord disputes or legal trouble, so they can stay focused on school. 

Health and Well-Being Support

Taking care of your well-being is essential for academic success, and there are a variety of health and wellness resources to support students throughout their time on campus. 

  Counseling & Psychiatric Services 
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) offers free, confidential mental health support for CU Boulder students, including therapy, workshops and 24/7 crisis services. 

  Office of Victim Assistance 
Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) provides free, confidential support and trauma-informed counseling for students, staff and faculty who’ve experienced or witnessed a traumatic or life-disruptive event. 

  CU Collegiate Recovery Community 
CU Collegiate Recovery Community (CUCRC) is a welcoming space for students, staff and faculty in or seeking recovery. It offers peer support, sober housing and community events to help people thrive in recovery. 

  Medical Services 
Medical Services offers a wide range of health care for CU Boulder students, including primary care, sexual health, immunizations, physical therapy and more—all conveniently located on campus at Wardenburg Health Center. 

  Recreation Services 
Campus rec centers provide welcoming spaces and programs that help students stay active, build community and have fun—from fitness classes and outdoor adventures to intramural sports and Inclusive Rec events.
