Housed in the Department of Applied Mathematics, the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA) trains students to become effective interdisciplinary collaborators who can apply statistical analysis and data science to enable and accelerate research on campus and making data-driven business decisions and policy interventions in the community. LISA also teaches short courses and workshops to improve statistical skills and data literacy widely.

LISA is the center of the global LISA 2020 Network of stat labs that strengthen local capacity in statistical analysis and data science to transform academic evidence into action for development. The LISA 2020 Network is currently comprised of ten stat labs in developing countries: five in Nigeria, two in Ethiopia, one in Tanzania, Brazil, and Zimbabwe. New labs will soon be created in India and Ghana.

By collaborating with LISA, your research and scholarly activity can have impacts in Boulder and around the world.
