Hosted by the Research & Innovation Office (RIO) and in partnership with Holly Barnard, former NSF program officer and current associate dean for research in the College of Arts and Sciences, join us for the return of the in-person Broader Impacts Expo, including free boxed lunches.

Even if you are not actively working on a project requiring broader or societal impacts, this event is the perfect opportunity to get ideas for who you may want to collaborate with in the future. Bring your lab as a community-building opportunity or bring your current group of collaborators to find the perfect addition to assist with broader or societal impacts.

October 18 CU Boulder Broader Impacts Expo (In-Person)

Broader impacts are one of two criteria used by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to evaluate every grant proposal. Increasingly, funders are placing a greater emphasis on broader and societal impacts. As a PI, describing the broader societal impact of your research and achieving specific educational outcomes can be challenging. Luckily, CU Boulder is overflowing with resources to help you with broader impacts plans, efforts and activities.

Join the Research & Innovation Office (RIO) and former NSF program officer Holly Barnard and meet our supportive Broader Impacts Providers from across campus. Free boxed lunches will be available.
